Proactive Business Continuity Management The proactive phase of a Business Continuity Management programme is a project orientated activity that has a definitive start date, end date, and deliverables within a set budget.
Reactive Business Continuity Management
The reactive phase of Business Continuity Management is the implementation of the plan. When the plan is activated a number of activities have to take place to reduce the threat of further damage and to manage the incident. This is where the proactive work and prior planning will pay dividends. Feedback Loop After every incident lessons are learnt and these learning points are fed back into the Business Continuity Management process to improve the plan. Post Incident Reviews are vital to ensure that the plan's currency is maintained. |
